A satanic group which sued Netflix company and Warner Bros for $50m over the new Sabrina series says it has amicably settled the lawsuit. The satanic temple claimed that the series copied the groups’ statue of the goat deity Baphomet. According to them the alleged icon was similar to their own and appeared in four episodes of the series. The group claims that they settled their scores however the details will remain confidential to them.
The founder of the temple Mr. Lucein Greaves responded to this news on social media and claimed that the case had been over publicized. In a blog post, he said that he had received a hate mail over the lawsuit with some people suggesting that a large, powerful satanic organization was using it to bully an uncertain and innocent teenage witch who had just newly exposed the happenings of the cruel world.
He went on to say that he that he loved the confused claim people had that his organization were playing victim while they had the alternative of standing silent when they felt as if their work was being over-exploited.
The satanic temple said in a statement that the unique elements of the satanic temples Baphomet statue have also been acknowledged in the credits of the episodes already filmed.
According to them the terms of the settlement are subject to confidentiality. The organization claimed that they do not worship Satan as per the thinking of many, but instead they work towards encouraging benevolence and empathy among all the people her has been no public statement made about the settlement from both Netflix and Warner Bros.
A brief history of the satanic organization- The satanic organization was founded back in the year 2012, with the group working towards separating the church and the state. The organization holds Satan as their representation opposition to arbitrary authority. The organization owns 15 official chapter houses in the US, with its members contributing to both election and the success of Donald Trump back in the year 2016.
